I speak as a Presbyterian, rather than a Baptist, but this issue certainly isn't limited to Baptists. In my church, we celebrate the Supper in alternate months. With the next one coming up in two weeks, I have talked our pastor into trying it with a common loaf. We will be using naan, an Indian flat bread, i.e, unleavened bread. The pastor will tear the bread, to represent Christ breaking the loaf (Mt 26:26), then each person will tear off a piece as it is passed. The common cup is more problematic, given this day of fear of viruses.
